These terms apply to districts that subscribe to Instructional Pulse and the staff they invite. A signed district agreement or data privacy agreement takes priority over these terms.
Accounts
Districts decide who may sign in. Staff sign in with their school account and must keep it secure. Districts may limit sign-in to their own email domains.
Acceptable Use
- Use Pulse only for school improvement, observation and coaching work.
- Do not enter student names, IDs or photos. Use initials instead.
- Do not try to reach another district's data or disrupt the service.
Data Ownership
The district owns all data it and its staff enter. BetterSchools Consulting gets only the rights needed to run the service.
Support Access
Pulse Support may sign in as a user only to resolve a support request. Each sign-in requires a reason, ends after 60 minutes, is logged and is visible to district admins.
Ending Service
Districts may export all data at any time. After the contract ends, all district data is deleted and a deletion certificate is issued.
Liability
The service is provided as described in the district agreement. Limits of liability are set out in that agreement.
